invendoscopy is a new version of classic colonoscopy. It can be used for the early detection of cancer and many other diseases of the digestive tract. The invendoscopy™ system allows a gentle, medication-less colonoscopy and solves the hygiene situation through a unique combination of features:
- Highly flexible materials, an electro-hydraulic deflecting mechanism of the endoscope tip and the absence of Bowden cables increase the flexibility. A combination of these technologies reduces forces applied by the endoscope to the colon wall significantly.
- Work- and resource-intensive cleaning processes are eliminated due to the single-use nature of the endoscope. Also cross-contamination risks can be eliminated as every patient has his or her personal colonoscope.
- All functions of the endoscope (forward/backward drive, deflection of endoscope tip, rinsing, suction and insufflation as well as taking images) are comfortably controlled by a handheld device. This makes the performance of colonoscopies more ergonomic and easy.
- With an integrated 3.1 mm working channel the invendoscope™ can also be used for biopsies and polypectomies. The deflectable endoscope tip with a centered working channel gives access to all areas of the colon.
